2011 ISGMA Best Paper Award

Mechanical Engineering PhD students Jayantha Siriwardana and Saliya Jayasekara with their best paper award.
Congratulations to Professor Saman Halgamuge, from the Department of Mechanical Engineering and PhD students Jayantha Siriwardana and Saliya Jayasekara, who received the best paper award at the International Symposium for Green Manufacturing and Applications (ISGMA) held in Seoul, South Korea, Oct 6-7, 2011.
The paper entitled “Modulating Flow Cascade Heat Recovery for Improved CCHP Performance with Minimum Exergy Destruction” proposes a new method for the efficient use of energy in absorption chillers in air-conditioning is proposed in relation to Triple Energy Generation.
The project is sponsored by the Melbourne Energy Institute under the Interdisciplinary Seed Funding scheme.
