The Melbourne School of Information (MSI) has been elected onto the international i-School caucus.

The i-School caucus is the peak international body focussed on programs and research that sit at the intersection between information, people and technology.

Schools elected to the i-School caucus are expected to have substantial sponsored research activity, engagement in the training of future researchers (usually through an active, research-oriented doctoral program), and a commitment to progress in the information field.

Professor Steve Howard, Director of MSI, said he was delighted at the recognition given to the extensive information centric activities at Melbourne and looks forward to Melbourne’s role in the i-School movement.
