Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology launch student prize

Founded in London in 1889, the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST) is an international professional body embracing a spectrum of marine endeavours.

The Victorian branch has supported the Melbourne School of Engineering in a number of capacities, from donations to the school’s archives, to the recent establishment of the IMarEST Endeavour Prize.

As part of MSE’s Endeavour program, this prize will be awarded to the best capstone project in hydrodynamics, marine engineering, oceanography or fluid mechanics. MSE’s Endeavour is a student managed program of events encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship. The IMarEST prize will recognise students for the quality of their research or design and their technical engineering skills.
